You want to set them, take them out and then pass the flat iron?

oh ok so part your hair into different sections, i usually start from the bottom back and work my way to the front. the bangs are the last part for me to put in a roller. you just have to figure out how much section of a hair can go into one roller.

i use roller to set my hair first and then blow it out, when i want waves i blow it out first straight and then i do a curling iron..so i havent done it with the hot ones before, but im sure itll work. test it out on one section of hair first to see if you like how it looks.

Re: NWR: Hair Help--hot rollers?

this is my little quick way of doing it - its really easy.....

I put my hair in a really high pony tail - literally right on the top of my head. I do not make it too tight though cause you end up getting 'dents' from it. I then just take pieces and roll them down with the hot rollers. I end up using like 6-7 hot rollers. It usually gets stacked up but its ok - it ends up looking like those girls in the movie grease when they have their rollers in their hair - if you know what im talking about. Spray and let it sit. I usually do this before I get dressed and do my makeup so it sits in. You can also hit it with the 'cool' air from the blowdryer to help it set. After about a half hour (or longer if you have the time) i take them out, remove the hair rubberband from my pony tail and just run my fingers through my hair to loosen it up a little. If I end up getting dents from the pony tail, i just hit it with the blowdryer and a comb at the top of my hair and fix it. Voi la!

And if it doesn't come out the way you want it to, you can just go over your hair with the blowdryer and round brush - it'll look like you got a great blow out!! ( I have the straightest hair ever, so I do this also for volume...)

When I had long hair (I just choppped my off) i used to flat iron it, then use a curling iron (spray with hair spray while you are curling)......Then i would run my fingers through my hair to kinda break up the curls (don't use a brush, it will make it frizzy)....And then spray it lightly with hair spray to keep its curl

I use hot rollers all of the time. I even have a travel set when I travel for work, it totally makes it easy to have some sexy hair.
The advice above is great but one thing I HIGHLY suggest, and i know it sounds dated, aerosol hairspray. It will make those curls hold much better.
