Ever tried seasonale?? If so, how do you like it, any 'pill' side efeects??? Let me know, I have an appointment in August to renew my script and I don't like the BC I am now.

Re: NWR: Has anyone
I just went to the doctor and asked her about it. She said that most of the pills out there are low dose progesterin or estrogen (i forget which one) and the seasonale is a high dose of it. She said basically, it is like what the pill was when it was first invented. She told me that she wasn't going to perscribe it to me and offered me the nuva ring which is something inserted inside of you but I decided to stay on the pill

I've never tried it and I don't know anyone that has, but IMO, I don't think I would ever try it. It just doesn't seem natural to only get your period like 3 times a year, ya know? What pill are you on now? Ortho Lo is GREAT! It's the only one my Dr. will perscribe (unless of course there are special circumstances, but that's besides the point). Good luck!

Re: NWR: Has anyone
When I went to my doctor about it she said she didn't like it because it had very high hormone levels. Instead she put me on Yasmine and instead me taking the last row of pills (the white sugar ones) she told me to start a new pack. Apparently all pills can work the same way as seasonal but when the pill was first invented woman were freakin' out because they didn't get a period so they added a 'fake pill' which you take in the fourth week to allow you to get your period.
I've been on Yasmine for a while now and I love it. No side effects at all and I haven't gotten pregnate so I know it works

Re: NWR: Has anyone
I use Seasonale. I was getting really sick from my periods - missing work once a month was really not an option. My doctor said to me 'well then, you should get your period less often' and prescribed seasonale. I love only having my period 4x a year - and I don't feel as sick when I get them. however, I think my sex drive has really decreased since I have been on it (about 2 years).
