How did it work for you? Are you happy with the result? Do you recommend a place that does it? Thanks!

Re: NWR: Has anyone had electrolysis done?
I have had a ton of electrolysis done over the years. In fact, I have not gone for at least a year because I have no hair left. It is the best thing to do. Waxing is so time consuming...having to go every two weeks forever. This really gets rid of the hair. A bunch of my family and friends go to this woman Geraldine Pape in Locust Valley. She is really nice and its very sanitary.

Re: NWR: Has anyone had electrolysis done?
I have had it done for years. I started in FL when I was a teenager with a lot of hair on my face. Now I am hair-free and only go to have clean up done every once in a while. I had a severe problem with hair due to a hormone imbalance so my case was extreme, but if you are unhappy with the hair coming back after waxing then I would definitely recommend electrolysis.
My word of warning- make sure the person who does your eyebrows shapes them the way you want them. I went to someone up here who got a little happy with removing hair when it wasn't necessary and thinned mine out a little more than I liked. It is hard trying to get them to grow back now how they were before she touched them. Go by recommendations of a good place.

Re: NWR: Has anyone had electrolysis done?
I've been going to a woman in Port Jeff Station for a little over a year now for my eyebrows. It is going well, they are MUCH better than they had been. (In college I had decided to pluck underneath my brow. What was once blonde peach fuzz became coarse dark hair.)
I go every other week and I pay $5 flat rate + $1 per minute on top of that. Usually I wind up paying $20 per session.
FM me if you want her info. She is in Port Jeff Station and in Plainview I believe.

Re: NWR: Has anyone had electrolysis done?
I can recommend a place in Brooklyn and another in Manhattan if you are interested.
I loved it - it hurt (I took 2 Advil before each treatment and was ok), but the results were great. It takes a while (about 6-8 months for me) of treatments every two weeks b/c they need to get the hair follicle when it is in the growth cycle.
