I'm fighting a $700 dental bill right now with the rep. Apparently when i changed my primary dentist on 7/8 I didn't know that my change wouldn't take into affect unti 8/1!!! So the work i had done on 7/18 (x-rays;cleaning) wasn't covered!! I changed the dentist via the website and i swear no where did it say the change would take affect until 8/1! I would have just waited a few weeks to go to the dentist. I swear this is why i take SO long to go the doctor cause it's ALWAYS something!

Insurance companies NEVER make it easy. I hate dealing with them too.

urgghhhh i know what you're saying! I hate going to the dr too just bc I hate dealing with crap like that! Good luck hun, keep fighting! I had a situation where the dr's office submitted the claim incorrectly to the ins co and it took a lonnnng long time to fix, but eventually it was cleared up!

I swear i was on the phone with them for almost an hour (while at work).
Not only was there an issue of the date of coverage; but also an issue of the type of coverage i had...i originally had a DMO and this particular dentist didn't inform me until AFTER my work was done that they didn't accept DMO! So the insurance co told me that their currently showing this dentist as accept DMO and he can't just randomly say that don't accept my insurance and send me bills for their services. SO now the insurance co. says i'm not responsible for anything...lets see how this goes over w/the dentist!
Man with the wedding i just couldn't take $700 and spend it on a dentis bill i KNOW i shouldn't have to pay!!
