All of us who are animal lovers and animal guardians can easily imagine the grief of having our beloved friends lost or stolen.
On Nov. 19th, Max the Pit Bull along with his person, Kavita, were in a car accident near Union Turnpike and Queens Blvd on Nov. 19, 2006. The car door flew open and a very confused Max bounded out. This gentle, loving giant was wearing a black collar at the time and Kavita is concerned that he may be hurt.
Max is a neutered male and weighs in at about 95 pounds and is 6 years old. He is extremely sweet with people although not fond of other dogs. Max is very much a home body and not used to being loose, so he may be shy and frightened if approached.
Because of Max’s breed, Kavita is particularly concerned that he will be picked up by people who want to use him in unkind and illegal ways.
He is a very beloved boy and Kavita is making every effort to find him.
I hope they find each other!! I hate to hear these stories about animals, they are so helpless!!

I hope that you find the dog. How sad to lose such a great companion. The poor thing. I hope you posted stuff in local delis and such!!!

I am a member (well donating) of a pet rescue group and they forwarded this to me. It is not acutally my dog, but it hurts me like it is when I see these things.

That's so sad. I hate hearing of things like this about animals.
