nwr: health issues

nwr: health issues

ok so i guess i just need to vent. For the past several months I haven't been feeling good at all. I frequently get lightheaded, really bad headaches, feel tired, out of it, etc etc This is how i feel EVERYDAY and its been for months (some days i feel better than others but i never feel 'good'). I was just at the doctor and she took bloodwork but everything came back normal. She says it could just be something viral...but would something viral last for months? She said to see how I feel in the next few weeks and if I don't feel better we can do further testing...

i am happy that nothing has been found to be seriously wrong with me but im just getting frustrated that I don't know why I haven't been feeling good. I just wish i had a clear answer.

I plan to just try to eat better, get more sleep, etc and be healthier all around....hopefully that helps bc i am getting really frustrated. I don't want to keep feeling sick all the time!

sorry for the vent

vent away! sometimes that helps.

it could be stress... sounds silly and a cop-out, but actually serious

definately go for a full pysical. are you doing anything different? eating differently? less excercise? try to get on a careful routing of watching what you eat and how much you sleep. stay away from coffee and alcohol for a while. drink lots of water.

i hope you feel better soon! let us know what happens!!

also, maybe pop ini a yoga video if you are feeling wound up or stressed....

Gosh we are all getting sick. I feel your pain. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with me for like 3 years! I have anxiety, which beats up my stomach.

Did you change you diet? Start taking any new meds? I take a multi vita pack from GNC daily with a super acidophilus. It has boosted my energy and I feel better.

I hope all works out for you. I know it ***** feeling like crap. I'm here if you ever need to Bytch about how our bodies feel. We can compare our issues lol.

You sound like me last year!!! Have you been tested for allergies??? After several trips to my GP, he suggested that I go to an ENT, I did, and it turned out I was EXTREMELY allergic to duist mites, and indoor mold, two things that are prominent in the winter. Might sound bizarre, but do you live in an old house/apartment? Do you have carpeting?? Does it get worse with fluctuating tempartures??
ETA: I also have a slight wheat allergy.....makes me feel the way you describe if I eat too much bread, pasta, etc.

I have been going to SO many different doctors for two years for similar problems. I have a slight issue with my thyroid but nothing that they can put me on medication for as of yet. I would have that checked out; you'd need to see an Endocrinologist. I've also been told that it could be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in which case there is nothing they can do about it.

'09er crashing. I had the same problem and it turned out to be 2 things so i figured id share both.

1. I needed a vitamin D and magnesium supplement. Especially with the winter, if your levels get to low it can make you feel exhausted, wiped out, and washed out. (i swear 24 hours after taking my first supplement my cheeks were rosy again).

2. I would get checked for anemia if you havent already, if your iron gets low it can make u feel like napping ALL the time.

HTH, feel better

i am def not a dr. but...

maybe u should get tested for epstein barr. its a simple blood test.

its a virus that does not leave your body and it can cause some of the symptoms you described.
