Since they only started going out 2 weeks ago...Id steer clear of all jewelry. But what about a nice keychain? Not like a crappy one...like a crystal monogram or something or a coach keychain.

I'm a history person as well...(I majored in history and teach american) and the only thing I can think of in that area is a giftcard to barnes and nobles or a book.

For only dating two weeks? I'd say the typical flowers and chocolates. FH and I were dating for two weeks before Christmas (years ago) and he bought me flowers and chocolates that Christmas.

i think he's concerned because she told him she got him stuff so he doesn't want to look you know... underprepared or something.

flowers and a book of poetry. not crappy poetry though.

if she's a history buff, aimee nezhukumatathil's 'at the drive-in volcano' would be good as she uses a lot of science and history facts, and it's REALLY easy to read. also, it has a candy heart on the cover, so it's appropriate :).
