nwr-help with moving..

ok soooo

fh and i still live at home with our parents (him at his house, me at mine)..we figured if we've waited this long, we might as well wait until we get married-plus its saving us a lot of money

our wedding is july 10, and were going on our hm from the 13-25..so we would be in the apartment the 11-13, and 25-31

my questions are...

1)do you think we should sign a lease for july 1 or aug 1?
2) when should we start looking at apartments?

I would say July 1 just because it'll give you some time to set up your place before the wedding and then when you come home from your honeymoon you'll be somewhat settled and won't have to worry about moving and getting furniture from here to there...

Aaaaaand maaaaaybe if you have some really good friends you can have them move your stuff while you're on your honeymoon

That's a tough one because while you want to be settled in your own apartment, it sounds like you'll be paying for a month you aren't using it. If you don't care about moving in after the honeymoon then I would do August 1 this way you save some money.

ETA I would start looking 3-4 months before the wedding to make sure you find something
