I've stayed at Grand Hyatt--pretty good.

what part of DC are you looking to go? do you want to stay more towards the monuments/museums, near the bars of Addams Morgan, near the restaurants in Dupont Circle, or the Georgetown area?

i have used hotwire before for 4star hotels and was pleased. i think once i stayed on embessay row, another hyatt, and the crown plaza

i would recommend the crown plaza. its walking distance to the trendy clubs

We used hotwire as well when we went...we paid practically nothing for a 3 1/2 star hotel. i forgot which one lol but it was in maryland right by the train station.
