Hey girls... FH and finally closed on a house last week and we haven't moved in yet because we want to get the house professionally painted and the wood floors downstairs sanded and stained and wood floors installed on the second floor.
I was wondering if anyone has had this work done before and what quotes you guys got. Also any good recommendations or FH's in this trade looking for work?
I have been getting astronomical quotes for painting!!

Re: NWR: House painting and wood floors
I had our house painted by a professional and it was the best money we spent. There's no way we could've made it look this good painting it ourselves. He also does all the wall fixixng up before hand if the wall needs it... Like spackle and sanding etc. His number is 631 626 7806.. his name is alfonso... His company is forza painting and he is licensed and insured. You can yell him you for his number from lizzie. Hth!!!

Re: NWR: House painting and wood floors
FH and I bought our home last April. We had the living room & dining room floors sanded & refinished - that ran us about $1100. Then we had the living room, dining room, upstairs hallway & kitchen painted - we have a cathedral type ceiling in the front of the house where the staircase is with a huge window - plus skylights in the kitchen - so it was too much work to paint on our own - i think the paint job cost approx $2k but that's with everything (labor, paint, etc)
