...get rid of stray cats? My neighbor has turned into crazy cat lady and feeds all the strays on our block. Since they aren't technically hers, of course none of them have been fixed and they are multiplying like crazy, there are kittens everywhere and every night I have to hear some cat in heat meowing for HOURS and it's not cute meows. It's come-knock-me-up-there's-a-cat-shortage type meows.
The worst part is that since I live next door, all the cats are using my front lawn as a litter box and it's so not cool. FH came over early from school to surprise me and ended up tracking cat poop all over my carpet because he stepped in some outside by accident and didn't realize it. We were getting ready to blame it on my dog, but he was being a good puppy and didn't do it.
Anyway, the lady won't stop feeding them because she's old and alone and I don't want to bother her about since I've been living next to her my whole life but they need to stay off my yard!!

We used to have the same problem for years. We had called the ASPCA numerous times and the only thing they said is that they would give us cages and traps to catch the cats ourselves and then they would come pick them up.

Don't worry, I swear I will not kill the cats. Although I used to like cats before all this and now I can't stand them, I still love animals and couldn't possibly harm one no matter how aggravating. I've tried talking to her, but she's old and cranky and refuses to compromise so out of respect I'm not gonna turn it into a huge ordeal. I just was hoping for something that could repel them or scare them because my dogs are not doing their job.
Theresa, have you ever heard of Feliway? It's sorta like pheromones that only affect cats. It corrects behavior and bad habits but isn't harmful. Here's the link
It's kinda pricey to waste on strays but it should do the trick. If your yard is really big, just spray it across your walkway at least... so you won't have to worry about them pooping and peeing there!
It works well but takes a couple of weeks to kick in (and you'll have to spray it everyday for a while) so get at least 2 bottles and you should be good to go!

Oh man, I LOVE Stephen Lynch. He was supposed to be my husband before he went off and got married. He's lucky I found FH soon after or he would have had a stalker on his hands
Thanks for the pheromone idea. That's something I'll definitely look into. I'll do just about anything right now.
