nwr: how do you get undepressed?

Im in a serious funk.
It just hit me hard while we were out at dinner that i wont be working at the same school next year- the district is getting rid of my position and if im lucky i will get a job in another school

i cant shake the crying and i just feel like sitting in the dark and i defintely could use a strong drink right now


how do you get undepressed? I need some suggestions cause FH is getting upset with me being such a baby

You're not being a baby!!! Changing jobs is a huge life change!! Don't you listen to him!!!

A lot of us share your pain with job situations. It will pass and you will find something even better.

I work a job a hate - and my FH has been cranky lately... but it was nice outside, and I spent a great day with my mom getting her dress. There is always a bright side, Honey!

I heard a few bars of 'here comes the bride' today and that sanpped me out of a sad morning.

Baby! I would be bawling too! You should be sad and that is completely healthy. What would be bad is if you just denied how you felt. SO go ahead and cry. I think you should- changing jobs is scary, especially if its beyond your own control which is the worst.

thank you all...i feel better knowing that i shoudl feel upset that my dream job is being taken away from me ...i spent 3 years building my reputation in this school and now its going to be for nothing

im trying to look on the bright side- after a year teaching in another school, i could possibly transfer when three teachers retire but thats a whole year of being in a place i hate


i think im just gonna have some chocolate and cry a bit more and by tomorrow ill be ready to face everyones questions when they find out im leaving after june
