FH and I are in the process of looking for a new house and we are trying to gain insight on the price of homeowner insurance. If you ladies don't mind sharing what you pay/or around how much...that would be awesome!!

Re: NWR: How much do you pay for homeowner insurance?
I have a small house and I pay $1097 a year.
I can give you the brokers name tomorrow if youd like. Bear in mind, lots of companies no longer cover LI bc they consider it a flood zone.

It's about $1,300 a year. You have to pay the first year in full before you can close.

I'm not sure the exact amount; but it's close to $1,100 for the year.
Like PP said-you have to pay the year in full at closing. So you'll need to have that cash on hand; the future years payments are usually wrapped up into your mortgage.

I had no idea about this when we closed, so the morning of the close when they told me how much to bring it was $1,100 over than what I thought b/c I wasn't unaware that you pay in full for the first year.
Our homeowners is $1,100

Re: NWR: How much do you pay for homeowner insurance?
It depends on the house... Depending how much your house is worth and insuranced will change the cost of the policy.
Ours is 1200 + the E-ring.
If you want to figure ihow much it cost a year to insurance your e-ring? Figure around $15. per thousand.
Good luck house hunting!
