So.... all of us class of 99' and 00' people our 10 yr class reunions are coming up.
So question...
1. are you going? 2. If so what are u guys doing?
We are trying to figure this out now and need ideas.
Carey, Sewanahaka, and VS people.. thoughts on locations?
mine was last year.. i graduated 98.. and I couldnt wait for my reunion cause i got engaged the week before and my fiance and I were together in high school.. BUT, what a waiste it was!!!! I was sooooo disappointed.. about 20 people showed up and most were my friends I still talk to.. even the after party no one came to.. it was horrible!!!! I paid 250 .00 for me and fiance and to have no one show up was a waiste of money!!! If I could do it again I wouldnt go.. I woudl see how many people attend first then see if its worth it.. goodluck!!:)

That's my fear.. that people are going to pay and no one is going to come cuz either my class did EVERYTHING or we did nothing... 2 extreme's.

Re: NWR: HS reunions
well i would suggest whoever is organizing it do it at a local bar.. make it like 10.00 a head.. and whoever shows up can go and if not oh well u only spent 10.00 and drinks... we really wanted to do that but if you dont go through reunions and have it at that big venue.. then they dont help u locate everyone from your class.. so we had it at the marriott in melville and it really was not worh it.. cause honestly a lot of people i graduated with are married and have kids.. couldnt really afford the money and i totally understand it.. they were smart about it.. I wasnt and I waisted money :( I would def recommend just havin it at a bar and low key i guarantee more people will come that way.. :)

I am on the planning commitee LOL I am in charge of the welcome party somewhere the day before and the reunion will be I think they are going to sign the contract with Timber Point or something like that. I really cant wait there are people I havent seen in 10 years and Id love to see where they are now. I am hoping FH is invited to show him off.

my school had the 10 year reunion a few weeks ago. pretty simple -- no guests invitied, in the school gym, catered food and had wine. lol.
nothing terribly special. but it was cool to go back. took funny pics by our old lockers. lol
no guests? so your FH couldnt go?
My hs supposedly does 5yr reunions and 10yr... but our c/o was the first to not have a 5 year... either that or all my friends just got snubbed... lol
nope. no guests allowed. its kinda bizzarre. even the 50 year reunion i think is in the gym with no guests. hahahaha. whatever. one less thing to drag FH/DH to..

Re: NWR: HS reunions
I went to mine over the summer. It was at The Knitting Factory.
It was a waste. I talked only to the same people I still talk to now. The room was terribly hot and crowded and the 'food' was nothing more than cold vegetable platters and chips and dip.
