As some of you know my FH is a commercial airline pilot. Today I got out of the subway to walk to Penn Station and all I saw was Cop cars flying bye and a homeless man yelling that a plane crashed in the Hudson. All the blood drained out of me at that point. I have always known in the back of my head that something wrong could happen , but I never 'really' thought about it I guess. Instantly, I thought about how fast I could make it to the river if it was his airline that went down. And if it was his plane what would I have done (jumped in the water to save him?) Thankfully I called my mother and she told me that it was US Airs so the panic quickly lifted but I seriously thought I would have died if that was his airline. I spoke to FH 20 mintues later and he told me everything was fine and that he flew over the plane in the Hudson and thought it was pretty cool! And told me not to worry about him, nothing is gonna happen. That man is gonna put me in an early grave!
Thank God everyone is OK!!!
Sorry just had to share!

Thank God it wasnt FH. I will fly on that pilots fight any day.
In a 'LIW is taking over my life' moment... as soon as I heard about the flight crash I thought 'Wow, I hope Nicole's FH flies for a different airline!'
Glad everyone is OK and your FH is OK too!

That is so funny that you wrote this Nicole because as soon as I heard about this you were the first person I thought about - I instantly thought about your FH

I'm glad that your FH is okay, as well as everyone involved. That pilot is the first in 30+ years to make a successful water landing with no fatalities. An amazing miracle!
