NWR- i can't deal...

with the 90's!

The mullet

Steve Sanders (played by Ian Ziering) faced a lot of serious issues on the iconic 1990's hit show '90210': Alcoholism, pregnancy and most of all, a major mullet. He chopped it off in the later seasons but that 'do will forever be branded a 'don't.'

Speaking of 9021-oh no's ...

Slap bracelets

'Ow, my eye!'

Slap bracelets were the Silly Bandz of the 1990s. The fabric coated metal was straight as a board until you 'slapped' it onto your arm. Then, like magic, it curled onto your wrist.

Shoddy manufacturing guaranteed exposed metal edges, bloody scratches and various injuries. Have fun kiddos!

Backwards baseball caps

Nothing said 'street' in the '90s like the backwards baseball cap -- especially when it was worn by John Stamos and Mary Kate (or Ashley?) Olsen from 'Full House'.

Love the color coordination, Uncle Jessie. You truly were the 'cool' uncle.

Pull your pants up, son!

Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) of the 1995 smash hit film 'Clueless' said best of these goofy male fashion victims of the 1990s:

'So okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so.'

Even that 'Polonius guy' would agree.

Acid wash jeans

The boy genius with the acid wash pants, Doogie Howser may be all suited up these days, but before he was awe - wait for it - some, he sported this terrible trend.
