NWR-I give myself an F---. Need help from fellow brides on WW

NWR-I give myself an F---. Need help from fellow brides on WW

Ok, for about a good 2 weeks I was doing real good on WW...lost 5 pounds. I started to get lazy and fed up w/ having to weigh things, portion everything, especially when I was hungry. So I first stopped writing things down, then stopped weighing things, and then started eating un-diet-like again. I am pretty sure I have gained at least some of the weight back (does not help to have PMS either). Now, my biggest test of all...school is starting again and I have a really busy schedule...sometimes only have 5 minutes to grab a quick bite (which usually winds up to be something from a vending machine). So, I need help ladies, especially from those who like me tend to be on the run for about 10 or more hours per day. What can I do to get back on the wagon? Is there something you ladies can recommend I bring w/ me that will withstand a 30 minute car ride w/ out refridgeration that will be a nice replacement for the vending machine? What helps you ladies stay focused on measuring and counting? I can't actually join WW because of time and money, so I really need some help to stay focused. I feel so disappointed in myself because I was doing so well.

ETA: First day back was today...was hungry and could have made the walk to get something healthy, like a turkey sandwich but wound up w/ chocolate pop tarts instead. I just need to lose 10 pounds!

Part skim Polly-o String cheese (2) and some wheat thins they come in single packs too. I personally love the snack. It's from my La weight counselor she gave me the suggestion.

I agree w/ Jackie the 100 calorie packs rock. I also bought at Priceclub the 1 point chocolate from WW made by Whitman's. It tastes fabulous & gives you that something sweet. I also been nibbling on carrot sticks & chopped up peppers/cucumbers.

Yes! If you need a mid-morning snack, I highly recommend having the oreo snack pack with coffee, and dipping them in the coffee. It is soooooo good!

This is what I do. When I get back from grocery shopping, I take the bag of whole wheat pasta and weigh out the entire bag into individual servings and put it in ziploc bags. I do the same thing with chicken etc. I cut up all the ingredients for salad as well. That way, all the weighing and measuring is done once a week and is always ready for me.

I also invested in a soft case lunch thing that I put an ice pack in to keep lunch cold. The ice packs last all day and keep the food cold.

I buy Healthy Choice cold cuts for sandwiches, and use Martin's Whole Wheat Potato Rolls (1 point) to put it on.

I snack on microwave popcorn, 100 calorie packs (love the oreo's and the wheat thins), carrot sticks, Whitman's WW chocolate, and WW cereal.

And I do my best to make sure I have breakfast - usually yogurt. My sister says that Quaker apples & cinnamon hot instant oatmeal is only 2 points and is amazing for breakfast and as a snack when you want something sweet.

HTH!!!

All these ladies came up with great ideas. I am a big fan of baby carrots. Don't forget about fruit! Even the individual size fruit cups are good & sugar free jello too.

I live on 100 calorie packs, easily portable. They now even have Pringles in 100 calorie packs (not by Nabisco but, same concept). I have a stash of them, along with Quaker low fat granola bars, in my office.

Microwave popcorn has also gotten me through some tough times, along with Three Muskateers miniatures.

The key is to be prepared so you don't even have to look at the vending machine!!!

You NEED to invest in a lunch bag and ice packs. This is what i do. That way i dont have to worry about things getting warm or spoiled. In order to stay satisfied and not hungry you MUST eat protein. I suggest boiling some eggs. Also, some nuts might help or peanut butter and an apple. You need protein and fiber to fill you or you will constantly be hungry.
There is NOOOOOOOO quick answer or fix. You HAVE to make it a lifestyle and put the time and energy into it

The key is preparation. If you do it on the weekends or even the night before. Have your bag packed for the day so in the morning you grab it and go. I like to save 10 points for my dinner, so I make sure that my bag has no more than the other 10 points I am allowed for the rest of the day. Here is an example:

Breakfast

WW english muffin 1 pt
1 tbsp peanut butter 2pt
Total : 3pts
or
ww bagel 2 pts
egg white 0 pts
2 slices 2% american cheese 2pts
Total : 4 pt

Lunch

WW Rye Bread 2 slices 1 pt
2 slices turkey 2 pts
FF Russian dresssing 0 pts

Snacks

2 cups Pirates Booty 3 pts
WW carrot or chocoolate cake 1 pt
Sugar free jello 0 pts
South Beach Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies 2 pts

FM for other ideas, i am crazy about WW.

Good luck.

I am a huge supporter of the mini bags of popcorn. I forget who makes them. But the bag is a single serving, and if you get the fat free kind it's JUST 1 point! It's nice and filling.

And the Quaker Oats Apples n Cinnamon oatmeal is delicious! I saw someone else commented on that already, but she's right! And it's only 2 points!

Great advice Michelle... I totally agree. If you have a lunch bag then you can plan ahead and eat real meals instead of just snacks. Do you have access to a microwave? You could get Smart Ones meals for lunch. Lean Cuisine lists the points on the package also. Good luck!

100 calorie packs, granola bars, any fruit, whole grain bread with some peanut butter, raisins, hard boiled eggs (I hate them but protein if you like them) and laughing cow cheese.

Thanks ladies! I will definitely use your suggestions. I also like the idea of measuring things just once or twice a week so it's already done. I think I will also invest in a small notepad to keep in my planner so I can keep track of my points while I am running around.
