NWR: I HATE flying..

So we're going to see FIL's in Florida in a few weeks..and I'm really petrified of flying..I took 2 Valium last time and it really didin't help as much as I'd like..I get anxiety going near an airport and just being up there for so long I freak out the entire time..idealy I'd like to go to sleep and just wake up there does anyone have this fear this bad..I've been told Xanax but how much I will go to the doc but I want someone that's had this experience to help lol TIA!

awe gina !

my best friend cant fly and cant drive in the car for too long she freaks... she takes takes a xanax before to calm her. We even had to take one of those small planes with a row of seats on each side and she did fine. Hope you do okay Fh and I are going to Florida in a few weeks too

Oh I am terrible. I need a higher Xanax prescription- the little ones do nothing and I end up taking 3-4! You do not want to be sitting next to me on a flight. For the longer ones, I can pop one of FH's Ambiens (seriously, on our flight back from Peru I fell asleep upon sitting in my seat. On the flight to Peru I fell asleep right in my dinner). They are delightful.

I would get at least a 50 Xanax (I have 25s, and they are worthless)

i hate to fly too.

someone told me once to try 'Bok Flower Essence' - i dont know what it is or where to get it but supposedly it calms your nerves!

I am the SAME way... I cant even drive to an airport without completely freaking out even if its not me about to get on the plane!

I fly alot or at least i used to before wedding planning lol and i SWEAR by xanax! it usually knocks me out for most of the plane ride to florida

yeah!!! i literally cry almost every time I am up in the air! It gets so bad that a few times I started to scare people around me! I just try not to sleep the night before at all it makes it a lot easier to pass out. I'm flying to florida on November 13th. When are you going?
