NWR: I hate Verizon: Rant

I haven't had internet access at home since Friday. No LIW outside of work. It stinks. Plus, FH is going through withdrawal bc he can't play Call of Duty.

I was on the phone w/ Verizon for 1/2 the day yesterday and they are no help. They told me I have to buy a new computer because the Playstation 3 isn't compatible with their service. Hmmm.....that's funny, because it's worked for the last 5 months (hasn't worked well, but at least it's worked).

I am cancelling my service and now I have to pay a $80 cancellation fee. I should charge them for leaving me on hold for 37 minutes yesterday and then transferring me to a busy signal so I had to keep calling back. Thank god Optimum Online is coming on Saturday. It's so boring w/out LIW on the weekends.

Sorry for the long rant!

I am so on this bandwagon with you. I have hated verizon for years, they are tools of the devil himself

Ohhh man we had the biggest problem with Verizon at the beginning of the year. No internet service for SIX WEEKS!! we kept calling, getting all these different people, they'd say they were sending someone..no one would show... then someone would come..tell me there was a problem with the main line in my neighborhood...funny how everyone else had internet service!! Then they had to drill a hole into my house and run this long cord through the whole room...and I complained and the guy said to move my desk to the other side and run the cord through the window. I said 'oh, you're a decorator now too??!!' finally they gave us a new modem and it seemed to work..for a while. We gave up and got timewarner..works great!

OMG. I hate verizon too. Our internet is ALWAYS down. They once told us to unplug the internet from the wall and put it in a different outlet. They said that outlet we had it in my be defective. It didn't work. I never heard of such a thing.
