The worst part of having a baby and being a stay at home mom is when you have a FH or H that says, 'Since you're home can you...' all the time. You wind up being the personal assistant, accountant, chef, cleaning lady, etc. in addition to taking care of an infant. It totally *****, lol.

i am going to have fh sign a contract saying that i won't be doing all the above

I do all that now, I kinda assumed I'd be doing it then too At least yours ASKS!

The best part is that now we both work and he gets home earlier than me (he is an ironworker and gets off work at 2 p.m.) so I call HIM and say, 'Since your home...' HAHA

ha ha my fh is a union guy too!! he is proably home right now he has a good schedule BUT it still is a lot of work

I agree. We want to travel too... but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want one now. Throw up and all!

Me too! My sister's baby - infant now I guess because she is 1! - is the best baby ever, hardly ever cries, has slept well since the day she was home, etc. My friend's 18 mo old has cried from day one, and no he is not colicky, just cranky. I would prefer to get a child like my niece, but I'd take any type. If I wasn't planning on moving a year after the wedding, I would probably try for a honeymoon baby (but I need to be working someone a year in order to get maternity leave, I think - and if I move, that won't happen).

Having a child of your own is so different and amazing. It is so much better than watching someone else's kids and you will love it in a way that is different from anything else you have ever felt before. Even if you get the cranky baby that spits up every second and is colicky and does not sleep through the night ever - it will still be the most wonderful baby because it will be yours and you will love it SO MUCH.
