NWR: I met a Soprano's star tonight! Repost from 06 board

Not a big deal, but while I was shopping in Target in Commack tonight I was in the bedding section. I hear some lady talking loud to her friend.. I was not really paying attention, then I glanced over and saw her I looked at her took a second glance and I was like wait a minute.. that is definitely her.

I proceeded to go down the isle she was in and I asked her 'Excuse me but are you Aida Torturo from the Soprano's'? and she said 'yes I am.' I just smiled and then her friend kinda like moved in front of her.. like what am I going to do attack the lady? lol I was like hey it's ok, I don't mean to bother you I said, well, I love you on the show! she said thank you and I kept walking.. but I must say she was not very nice, she did not smile or anything, she was not that friendly at all.

Well, that's my gossip for this evening ladies.. like I said no BIG deal but it was exciting to see a celeb in Target no less! I was wondering what she is doing here, I guess she either lives on LI or just visiting.. In case you don't remember who she plays on the Sopranos, she plays Tony's sister. She was also in a few other movies, but I can't remember their names.. Well Ciao for now! :)

No offence to you, but 'celebrities' see fans all the time. They don't get as excited as we do when we see them. Remember... we see them on TV all the time. They have no clue who we are when we approach them. So, if they are not on a red carpet and put on the social face, they don't necessarily react that way out of context. Maybe, she did not expect someone to recognize her and got freaked out a bit.

I go to church with Vince Curatola. (Johnny Sack).

We've never approached him because we didn't think it would be appropriate to do that at church. And, he doesn't really seem 'approachable' anyway

I've met her many times. I've waited on her at the pancake house all the time because she owns a house in Montauk. She's absolutely the nicest person, both her and her cousin (who is in a lot of adam sandler movies). Great people!

I agree, it could very well be that she was not expecting anyone to recognize her in Target. It's nice that she seemed nice to some of you, but I don't care what the situation is, you can still smile at someone who recognizes you. It was just one person and I was not all carryied away and acting all excited. I just simply smiled and told her I loved her on the show.. she could have looked at me and smiled to say thanks...at least instead of turning her head to look at something else.

I'm not trying to bad mouth her, I was just expressing that she did not seem too nice to me, that's all.

My friend saw Meadow from the Sopranos at Petco in Woodbury. She didnt approach her but the girl working there said she comes in all the
time. I guess she lives on the Island.

off topic: I met Macauley Culkin on the street once. He was trying to hide (smoking a cigarette) Me and a group of my friends quietly approached him and whispered 'hello'.

HE WAS SO NICE TO US!!! Started talking to us, signed autographs for us and posed with us for pictures!

My DH and I are almost positive that we spotted her in a diner in Montauk a few weekends ago when we took a trip. Where does she live?

my cousin is close friends with her and my cousin lives in montauk. i think she has a house out there.

I've met her many times. I've waited on her at the pancake house all the time because she owns a house in Montauk. She's absolutely the nicest person, both her and her cousin (who is in a lot of adam sandler movies). Great people!

So I guess it was her that I saw in Montauk. My DH says that it was the Pancake House!!!! We didn't approach her but she was talking to some people there. She looked nice and smiley.

Thats cool...I love celebrity sightings!!!

And I can't wait for Sopranos tomorrow!!
