NWR-I need a job!

totally unrelated but I need to vent:
I just recently graduated with a degree in music therapy unfortunatly I can't seem to find a job (surprise, surprise). I do have a job doing part time music therapy work but I HATE it! I don't know if I should quit or if I should stick it out---I feel like if I quit then I'm giving up, but I feel like if I stay there I'm going to start to hate something that I really love....GRRRRRR....not to mention that if I quit then I'll have to work FT at my other job (they have offered me a nice position), I've been there for 7 years and know that I could do well in the company but its completly unrelated to my field. Should I stick out the MT job that stinks or should I try to move up in the company that I'm working for now? or should I just lay low and hope that something else related to my field will pop up?
Sorry for the vent but I'm so confused!
btw-the $$ would be about the same but if I stay with the company I work for I get benefits. With my PT Music therapy job I get none. What to do????

IMO I would quit the job you hate if you think there's no way it will get any better, and move up (only for now) with the other job so you can get benefits. Then look for another MT job even if it's p/t. Eventually the right MT job will come up. I've had too many jobs I hated and it's not worth it!

I agree. The worst thing would be to have a gap on your resume with no work, but I would stay where you are, making good $ with good benefits, and keep looking for the perfect MT position.
