Issue: I need a new job but we have this wedding to pay for.
What am I going to do? I truly do not like the space I'm in & I don't know if I see myself here much longer.
Any advice?

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
I would continue working but look and interview for other positions. Then you can leave when you find one. This economy stinks though. You don't want to leave and then have nothing and then really be stressing.
I need a summer job so we can have extra spending money but IDK what to do!

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
Same boat here! I plan on staying here for now (I have to anyway) and it helps that I don't HATE it, but I could be making more $. I plan to go see a career counselor at my college because it's free for students and alum and discussing how to get into what I would rather be doing. Hopefully finding something better this year, we'll see.

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
My advice is never leave a job without having a new one lined up. Trust me. I've been through it all since graduating college. It's so much easier to find a job when you are already employed. Stick it out at the job you have now and continue to look for a new one. You might want to visit a recruiter who will be able to set you up with interviews and help you with your resume and interview skills.

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
I was in the same situation as you, I will be starting a new job right as we are planning our wedding. My advice is don't quit your current job until you get a new one, but keep looking... You should be doing what you love!

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
I also kind of have to wait until we buy our house so nothing is jeapordized... maybe your old college has some services that can help? I know also the towns (like town of Hempstead, etc) have job centers and job counselors. Also lots of websites like Life Hacker sometimes have really good job hunting tips.

Re: NWR: I need a new JOB
Thank you girls for all your advice. I know i should wait til something better comes along but at times that doesn't happen. Maybe I'm just too worried. Hopefully we will see what comes of all of this.
