nwr i need better book suggestions

nwr i need better book suggestions

I'm currently reading the dark hunter series.. and its okay.
I just bought book 3 (or 4 depending on how you look at it) and I'm thinking of returning it and trying another series... its just not what I want.

I LOVED the demonica and black dagger brotherhood series. I love the whole forbidden love, crazy sex, supernatural powers, just exotic way about those two series...
this one is just a little too... we met, we had sex, i think i love him, he's hiding something, we fight evil really easily, i figured out what hes hiding, after a month together we're married, i'm pregnant, the end. I just don't like that.

I do like that its mostly greek mythology, but it mixes other gods and just gets confusing.

so I need a new series.
um.. I hate Fae creatures. not big into weres. I prefer vamps and immortals. need a good story line. i want x rated.

I read 'the missing' as my 'in between' book.. i liked it in the fact that I finished it in under 2 days.. I kinda liked the story... but I didn't like the 'non fictional/super natural' characters.. besides the fact that she's psychic- BORING.

so, any other suggestions?

I'd have to go to b&n to return the book I bought yesterday that I haven't started yet. and I need something to read tonight.

I could only find it as an ereader and I read the synopsis.. I'm a little iffy on it.

and I'm not sure about the immortals after dark. I saw go back in time and got turned off.. I don't like time travel.

URGH! I wish I could type in 'something like demonica' and it give me a list.

thanks anyway

Re: nwr i need better book suggestions

okay I did my own research and found dark embers its a possibility, its just not a series and I like series.
and my friend and fsil keep suggesting the vampire academy books... I WANTED to read them back when I was into twilight and vampire diaries.. but that was before I discovered the whole 'x' rated vampire books... so I'm scared I wont like the vampire academy. I was told there was sex... but I want rated X not rated PG-13. and besides that I still have to read the latest immortal book by alyson noel. but again, I feel like its too 'young'.

I really wish I wasn't so indecisive.

Have you read the Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet??

It's not really what you described you're looking for but its a great read...my fave book of all time

Its also not a series but its about 1,000 pages and should hold you over for a few weeks (depending how much you read)

hth

pillars isn't my style. i've looked into it before.
and 1000 pages would prob take me about 4 days to read.. maybe a week, depending on how busy I am.

not gonna lie- i think you might be a bit too picky about your book choices. we all have our faves but when you like a VERY specific genre eventually you're going to run out until something new comes out. obviously there might also be stuff you know you don't like but I don't think it hurts to branch out and try something TOTALLY new....JMO

I know, , I'm overly picky... but I have read other books.. trust me, my house is like a freakin library (just not organized lol). my father has SOOO many books. I used to have more, but I got rid of a lot of them. I just finally found a theme I really like. it sucks I know what I don't like, more than what I like.

but hopefully this dark embers will hold me over for a while.
