I do not normally post alot of personal stuff on here, but FH lost his job back in May and he is having a hard time finding another. Its really starting to get to both him and me and Im not upset at him, just the situation and the economy today.
FH worked in the financial field and has his series 7 and 63. Does anyone know of anyone at all that is hiring?? He's been on approximately 17 interviews and applied to over 60 positions and nada. He is either too qualified and be taking a huge paycut and loosing his licenses or he is too under qualified because he lacks experience and doesnt have his MBA.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just prayers.

has he tried consulting or freelancing for the time being ? Unfortunately, he is in the profession that is the most trouble right now ... fiance!

The economy is really horrible -- more and more of my friends in these friends are losing their jobs.
does his undergrad institution have any career postings for alums or directories where he can look up other alums working in the field that he can contact? Does yours?

I will tell him to check Hofstra to see if they have something like that. The economy s u c ks and I cant say that enough. I used to work for a bank and ive given his resume to a few people and they cant even do anything. This is why I got out of the banking industry.
He is on unemployment for now, but once that runs out, hes gonna have to take what he can get.

I work at a securities evaluation firm. I know there are some job openings available at the moment. Have him take a peek and see if he's interested in anything.
