NWR- I need to find a movie . . .

about angels. Something other than 'It's a Wonderful Life.' Anyone know a great movie with an angel as a central character? thanks!

City of Angels is an american remake of a MUCH better (and one of my all time favorite) movie(s) Wings of Desire. It is directed by Wim Wenders and is a about the angels who watch over Berlin. One of them falls in love with a trapeze artist and has to decide if it is bettter to have eternal life and never be known or is it better to be capable of being in love but having to die someday.

Not sure what you need this for- but there is also Angels in America-- HBO did a movie version of the play that was written about AIDS.

Is this movie available on DVD or VHS here in the US? What country was is it made in? The gift is for someone who lives in Berlin - which may make this a great choice. thanks!
