I'm so annoyed. We have an apartment in our house that we rent. We have a new couple living there for about a month. They have 2 small dogs, and we have a dog as well (pic in profile). All I asked of them was to clean up after their dogs. Simple right?!!?!?? That's what I thought. Well, our landscaper didn't mow the backyard last week b/c of all the poop. I've picked it all up before, but I shouldn't have to clean up after their dogs. And what really pisses me off is that the girl doesn't work (we were told she did) so why doesn't she have the time to pick up after her dogs??? What the heck should I do? Do I say something? I cleaned up after my dog today and left all the other poop out there. There is a considerable differnce it what comes out of their dogs and mine. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Hey -
You definitely need to say something. You have every right in the world. Just tell her that the landscapers didn't mow last week because of it & called you yesterday (or today) to tell you that's why.
The work thing - she may be working from home or have a home office, so you really can't say anything about that - but definitely address the pooing situation!!

Yeah you definitely have to say something. That isnt right and I would be furious. They are the reason why so many places dont allow pets nowadays.

There are companies that will come clean all the poop in your yard. If they refuse to pick up after the dogs tell them there rent will be increased by the cost of the poop clean up service. Poop Patrol

i was just going to suggest a poop removal service. I would suggest it once as a friendly gesture like ' i've noticed that its hard to keep up with all the poop - maybe you would be interested in this service'
then two weeks later say 'it seems as though its tough to keep up with cleaning up the yard - we've decided to hire a service and split the cost - your rent will go up by $$$$'
and every single day i wish that poop be gone was real!!!

i'm not paying $12 a week for someone to pick up poop, do you know what my yard would look like if poop only got picked up once a week?? not even just that, do you know what it would smell like???????

Then I guess you can give them the option of cleaning up after the dogs, rehoming the dogs, or moving. AND if the choose cleaning up after the dogs and then dont, then tell them there will be fees. Are they locked into a lease? Cause if so and it doesnt say anything about yard clean up or pets in general you may be stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the situation.

I say just send them the bill!!!! seriously talk to them, if that was all you asked, I assume they agreed, so it shouldn't be a problem whether she works or not
