NWR: If I listened to my FH I could be dead right now!!

Well not really, but still!!

last night FH was in the mood for fish (stuffed w/ spinache and feta). So I go and buy flounder and there is a big bone in the middle of it. I get most of it out, then I tell my FH (the avid fisherman) to get the rest out, and he tells me there is no bone in there (he is lazy). So I make the fish. We sit down to eat and all of the sudden I feel this SHARP pain in my throght(sp?) I start to gag . Fh kindly asks me not to gag at the table (I swear, the compassion in this man is matched by no other) I go in the bathroom and gag and gag and gag. It gets a little better. I clean up after dinner, still feeling terrible pain. I take a bath. Still hurts. I tell FH and he tells me, 'It's all in your head, your probabally just getting sick' I stick my hand all the way in the back of my throught ( i can get my fist in my mouth, so it wasn't that hard) and feel something sticking out o my throught walls. After 10 min of trying I pull out a SHARP FISH BONE THE SIZE OF 1/2 A TOOTH PICK!! I walk over to FH and stab him w/ it!!!

I'm still in pain today!!

OUCH! You should see a doctor to make sure it didn't do any damage. I hate eating bony fish becuase of that. I'll stick to shell fish. :)

you should see a doctor to make sure you don't have internal bleeding. I had to watch this awful video about it...and it was so not pretty.

geez, are you ok, i wouldmake sure your throat is ok, call the doc. i hope you are feelingbetter now. that will teach him to debone the fish all the way hehe

OMG I am glad you are ok. You should have smacked FH upside the head for not listening to you lol....
FH should be seriously kissing your butt for the rest of the weekend.
