It depends on each mom. Either 2-5 days depending on how she is doing.

Re: NWR: if someone has a c-section
sorry to crash but i had a c section my daughter was 2 weeks early too so they kept us both for 5 days. this was stony brook almost 6 years ago now. I'm going to be honest with you I was happy to see people after we went home. Many family and friends just basicaly droped off the face of the earth after the novelty of a new baby wore off. If she is going back to work after a c section she will be home with the baby for about 8 weeks. Every new mom needs a hand once in a while even if they say they don't.
HTH congrats on the baby

Re: NWR: if someone has a c-section
I think it depends on which hospital, too. My friend/co-worker had a c-section on Aug 2 and she was released today from St. Catherine's in Smithtown. They seem to rush you out these days!

Re: NWR: if someone has a c-section
usually they stay day of the surgery and get discharged on the 4th day.. some choose to leave the hospital on the 3rd.. she'll still be there tomorrow. the first couple of days are the most difficult recovery-wise
