35th anniversery party would you think that was odd??? DH's parents 35th is next year and I am not sure if people will think its really odd that it isnt the 40th or 50th. DH's dad isn't really that young so Im afraid if we wait it will never happen or he will be too old to enjoy it the same way.

I threw my parents a 35th anniversary party. It was 45 years to the day that they met. So I don't think its strange.

Not at all! 35 years is a long time too - and I'm up for any excuse to celebrate! Have fun planning!

I think that's a really nice gesture to throw them a party. 35 years is still a significant anniversary that should be celebrated. Go for it!

i don't think it's strange at all.. 31st or 32nd or 33rd.. may sound wierd but a 35th doesn't sound out of the norm at all.

I think it is cute. I told my FILs that they should have a 26th anniversary party, since they had a family emergency last year that prevented them from having a 25th.

Never, never put anything off. A very close friend of my family's who seemed to be in very good health dropped dead of a heart attack a week ago on Sunday at the age of 51. Not to scare you or anything but just do it!
