Is it a savings account? Is it from a website? How do you start one? As you can tell I'm really confused!!! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Re: NWR I'm so confused...what's an ING account?
ING is an online banker. They don't have branches all over the place and everything is done via internet or mail. They usually have good interest rates. Check them out: ING .
Yes that's it. I guess I want to know if it's safe or not. Is there any risk involved? Thanks!
well risk depends on what kind of account you open. you can open up a number of different accounts on ING - CD, money market, savings, etc. You can even start a retirement fund, invest in mutual funds, there are tons of options because online banking is the same thing except there aren't any physical branches. Take a look on the site and check out their options. HTH!

It is safe, I use it! I like it, they never bother me, they never send me anything, let me put in my money, they let me take it out, and it collects interest.

ING is very safe and well known. I've got my 401K through them. We were actually going to open a savings online with them, but our bank ended up having the same offer and interest, so we went with them instead; it was just easier.

awesome site.. usually the highest cd rates.. they offer money market accounts, mortgages ( no 30 year thought) the great thing about them is that you can take money in and out whenever you want you dont' have to worry about penalities or anything. I have had mine for liek 6 years or maybe longer.. all my mulloah goes in there :)
