OK Ladies, a few weeks ago I started a thread that I was sad that we weren't going to have a big bash for my Dad's 60th because my parents were saving $$ for my wedding. Well, I locked down the American Legion Hall, rented some nice table Linens and ordered some invites on Vista Prints today!! Next up is DJ.
Any thoughts or advice on some good dj's that can play a Saturday party from 4-8 pm?

For my parents 25th anniversary party we used NY Nights Entertainment...they are great!! Played all the oldies for my parents and everyone had a blast! Heres their website...http://www.nynightsdj.com/

that would be the guest of honor.... (with someone else's wig) we brought him a mousecateer costume b/c it was a surprise.
it was a 50s-60s theme... we played all doo wop and everyone dressed in poodle skirts etc etc. FH & I were beatniks
here is FH:
you should think about making it a costume party.. EVERYONE had a blast and thats a good way for making up for it not being a huge bash..

That's great! It's actually going to be an 'Airplane' theme because my Dad owns a plane and flies as a hobby! I ordered up some CUTE plane invites on vistaprint and I'm on the search for some baloon centerpieces with airplanes.

my brother booked a DJ he found in pennysaver for like 450 i dont remember the name of them his E-party is thois sunday i can get a card and give u the info then...or later see if he has a card and get it from him tonight

High Energy Entertainment... used them for my engagement party and my wedding! They were awesome at both and did not empty our bank account! Give ralph a call... he's a vendor on here! happy to help

I used FM entertainmetn for my wedding and they were a great price and did a great job. good luck, and I think what you are doing for your dad is so sweet.
