In light of your heavy posts, I thought you might like to hear about my day. I took my class to the zoo today and there was a group of adults from an adult day care program. One man walked out of the rest room with no pants screaming. My para and I had to pull all the kids out of view but unfortunately my kids saw and started yelling and running around. We had to have a big talk about it and notify the school. Fun fun fun!

The school said they would handle it. I am not sure how many saw and how many just heard what was going on. I have never had to deal with anything like this.

We have an educational partnership with our zoo. We go once a month and learn about different habitats, the animals that live in those habitats and their physical/ behavioral adaptations. The zoo also comes to our school once a month and brings animals. It's a really nice program.

What's funny is that I'm a psychologist for a non-profit organization that serves the MR/DD population. I have a lot of clients who have few inhibitions like the man you and your class saw. I hope your class wasn't too traumatized.

Re: NWR: Interesting day
I think they are ok. I think I was more shocked than they were. My kids are from rough backgrounds and are very street smart.
