On Saturday, my brother had a party at the house for him and my sisters 30th birthday, so we had all of our friends over for it, and if we see him we usually invite the kid that lives next door.
So the kid that lives next door shows up and we all talk to him, nothing out of the ordinary. I was talking to him for a while, just catching up because he goes away to school and when he is home, don't really see him that much. So I tell him that I am engaged and I notice that he gets a little bummed out, but I don't really make anything of it and keep with the conversation.
About an hour later, he pulls me to the side and asks if he can talk to me. So I go to the side to talk and he goes on to tell me, how he has liked me for the past 6 years and tonight has finally enough nerve to tell me and is incredibly upset that I am engaged. To him, I am the Hot Cool Neighbor Girl and its just a perfect situation. And I can say is thank you, because he is 20 (turning 21 in a month), I am 7 years older than him-not that there is anything wrong with that-because it is the reverse with me and fh, but hello i am engaged.
So, it was a very interesting weekend for me

lol i know that had to be an arkward moment. hope he doesn't come crashing your wedding singing 'congratulations' by Vesta (look it up and u will be rolling on the floor laughing!)

Thats an interesting situation!! I had an ex bothering me online, even after I told him I was engaged I finally just had to block him. It is sweet and flattering- until they get stalkerish!

thankfully he is going back to school at the end of the week, so i won't be seeing him much for a while

That's awesome, Ter! You handled it well. I'm sure it'll be awkward, but with him going away to school it won't be so bad.
