NWR - Invisalign Brides

Just wanted to get some feedback before asking my dentist.

Any brides out there that have used Invisalign?

Are you satisfied with the results?

What is the approximate cost?

I know it depends on how bad your teeth are, but approximately how long do you have to wear them?

Thanks!

Re: NWR - Invisalign Brides

I just went for a consultation yesterday for this very thing! I can answer the last two questions, as I'm still deciding whether or not to have it done.

The approximate cost is $5,800 for both upper and lower, and $3,800 for just one--this is from a respected dentist on 57th Street in Manhattan--but I think it's the same price for all dentists who do it (I don't think they charge more because they're in the city).

The process usually takes between 6 and 12 months, depending on how much realigning you need done. Essentially, they make a mold of your teeth and create a series of new molds based on the end result. You wear the first set for a month, let's say, then you work your way to the second set, and each mold shifts your teeth slightly. You're supposed to wear them for at least 20 hours a day, and take them out only if you drink something that will stain (coffee, red wine) or eat something very sticky.

Hope this helps.

I had invisalign and I love it! I think it only cost around $2500 and took about 6-9 months but I only had the top done and went to a dentist in Howard Beach, Queens.

If you can I definitely reccommend doing it!

FH is using them now and his are great... just a bit of a pain to take in and out for meals but he's used to them. His were 5000, half of which insurance covered... warning, they can get very stinky but FH takes good care of them and ordered the cleaners and all the extras. his are for 3 months

Hi-I am just about finished with Invisalign and I cannot be happier with the results. People rarely noticed them and they were very easy to use. They cost me $6000 but were well worth it. You may be able to get them for less depending on the orthodontist. I had them for 20 months upper and lower. My lower teeth were very crowded and they really look great now. I was told by two orthodontists that I was not a candidate because my teeth were so crowded. However, after finding my current orthodontist she said no problem and she was right. I highly recommend them if you are considering them. I did not buy the cleaning kit. As far as cleaning them I took them out and brushed them using toothpaste and hot water and they were fine. You change them every two weeks and they feel a bit tight in the beginning of each phase but I put the new ones at night and by the next day they felt comfortable. Good Luck whatever you decide!

Just started invisalign a few weeks ago!! Its a huge inconvenience but they look great. Its painful when you just get them on but Im used to it by now. Im sure I will love the results. Mine costs a little under 5,000 for upper and lower. I will have them on for a year and a half.

Call Dr Ostreicher in Levittown and tell them I recommended you ... if of course thats in your area. He specializing in this. Im very happy.

Take Care and Good Luck!!

Thanks for the recommendation. I guess my next step is to go for a consultation and see what the dentists think!

I went to him too! I had 22 aligners....so I guess that was about a year....and a little over $5000?

You can't eat with them - except for really soft foods otherwise you have to take them out - potentially a good help for losing weight!
