NWR: Is anyone else sick?

Well, starting on Sunday I was deathly ill with a sore throat and stuffy nose but then it got worse and turned into this sexy hacking cough with a runny nose.

Today I woke up feeling HORRIBLE, like I almost cried as I got out of bed. But of course, I can't really take the day off bc it is the day after a holiday and it looks bad. So I go in and on my THIRD phone call I completely lose my voice. So, after two hours I totally give up and decide to use my sick leave.

I feel SO HORRIBLE, I swore it wasn't allergies. I have been laying in bed and sleeping all day and drinking tea and eating soup.

I went to the doctor and he said it IS allergies. He said that this fall weather has given us the WORSE pollen count in over 40 years. So, obviously I was experiencing the worse allergies in my lifetime. He also said that if I didn't take medicine that I would NOT get better until the night time temperature drops below 30 degrees for three consecutive days. Since THAT doesn't look like it is going to happen. . .

Just wanted to tell you girls to take your allergy meds. I know I thought it was too late for my allergies so that is why I didn't even take something OTC.

allergies totally suck....I'm getting some pretty intense sinus problems because of this weather.....

My FH has been feeling very crappy, and my sister too. I have bad spring allergies but have been good so far this fall... I am in air conditioning all day though, so that might help (we live on a 2nd floor apt and it is soooo hot that we've had our ac on for weeks now)... maybe I should start taking a clarinex every morning???

i should have figured it was allergies since the A/C helps SO much I am bundling up and sleeping with it every night.

I am with you on this......i am a mess.... my whole right side of my face is sore from everything being soooooo congested. I have a constant headache, i cant breathe and i cant blow my nose b.c nothing comes out.... and my e-party is sunday not good

i guess you could take claritin bc he prescribed clarinex

that nasal spray is nasacort
and some medcodin stuff for the cough

Sounds good. Fh knows im sick and he keeps trying to make me pasta boiled in water with wine. He calls it squattone (sp?)... im like hmmmmmm maybe ill just try some actual medicine.

Friggin italians thinking wine fixes everything....

I stayed home today too, these allergies are killing me. But, I can't take most of the allergy pills that work. I can't believe he said it is the worst in 40 years, I am going to suffer all Fall I hate it

I had that last week and took a lot of cough medicine and sore throat medicine. Its definatley going around i know about 8 people who just had it.

yea my allergies have been acting up these past few days. Nothing like that but I have been feeling run down from them. Hope you feel better
