yep. cute. can be pricey as far as housing goes. depending where, you could have a really secluded house near the water or a little busier with kind blaah traffic if you're closer to merrick or sunrise :)

Thanks. You made me VERY happy!!
I hate quiet!! lol. FH is the exact opposite. I want to live near a highway and lights. Maybe I can convince him. Is the school district good? I think it may belong to amityville.

Massapequa is nice , Check the school district though. Ive seen beautiful houses in Mass but FH wont agree because of Amity school district, he went there for his first few elem years and has freinds from there so he uses that as an example.

Massapequa and Massapequa Park are nice and is a great school district. The nicest neighborhoods are south of Merrick Road. East Massapequa is in the Amityville school district. Anything east of Carman's Mill Road is considered East Massapequa. Hope that helps!

I grew up in Massapequa Park. I went to Massapequa schools, though there are parts that belong to Farmingdale School District. East Massapequa is Amityville SD

It it belongs to Amitvyille, it's East Massapequa, not Massapequa Park.

FH and I just bought a house in Massapequa this past summer...we LOVE it there..... though, you really do not want amityville SD...you want either massapequa or plainedge SD... FM if you have any questions.

Great area! I grew up in Massapequa Park. They are part of the massapequa school district (which is a great district!) East Massapequa (which is still 11758,,,tricky) is not Massapequa school district. Also, some is considered plainedge if you get north of Linden or atlantic....(not a bad district, but not as good as massapequa)
We are moving back to Massapequa after the wedding!!

Re: NWR: Is Massepequa Park a good area?
Yes and no. We just sold a house in Massapequa Park which was Farmingdale district but Massapequa Park is split, some kids go to Amityville, some to Farmingdale, others to Massapequa.
Also, realize that now North Amityville gets split with 1/3 of those kids being sent to Amityville, 1/3 to Copiague, and 1/3 to Farmingdale. This is making all three schools a bit rougher from what I've heard recently from my neighbors.
If you're looking at Massapequa Park, try to stay within Massapequa SD.
