I'm hosting a bachelorette weekend for my best friend. We're looking to have sushi in the Lynbrook, Rockville Centre or south shore of Long Island area. Any suggestions would be great. Looking for someplace with 'atmosphere' and yummy food!

Toyo in Baldwin has really good sushi, but its very, very tiny. Taiko in RVC and I second Shogun (sushi and hibachi!)

Sushiya in RVC across from the Fantasy Movie Theater is delish...also there is another one Tyko which is great also in RVC.

Hands down Kotobuki, its one of our favs. They have locations in Babylon, Hauppauge and Rosyln.

i love sushi and judge it by it's freshness & ability to melt in your mouth and i live in this vicinity & have eaten at all of the sushi joints. the best has been in freeport's nautical mile. it's called bonito, which also has the hibachi stations. it's overlooking the canal & they have these little booths that have recessed floors for your feet and paper walls & doors for privacy & pretty darn good sushi for the south shore.
