Any recs? We have friends coming from SC so we are going into the city tomorrow and they wanted to go to a fun restaurant. Those are the only ones I could think of. Any ohter suggestions would be great!

IMO the food at Mars is not very good and I can't remember J&H but I do remember that the food at Manga y Bevi (sp?) does not get enough credit!

Jekyll & Hyde is much better than Mars (IMHO) it is more adult and the have the bar and dance floor upstairs (the one in the Village anyway) bet. those 2, def. J&H

I wouldn't go to mars...way over priced and the food is not very good...there are a ton of places.. i have never been to J&H..how about planet hollywood?????

I didn't love Jekyll and Hyde. The food isn't great and they dont take credit cards. What about Hard Rock?

which one did you go to? that's weird about the cc's.
do you have to to go a 'theme' place. there are so many clubs and lounges in the city.
I like the Black Fat PussyCat in the Village. it's got a cool vibe and good drinks. I don't thin they serve food there, but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area.

i don't like the food at J&H either - but we take my FH's daughter there for her birthday - she loves that place!

I never heard of Mangia e Bevi Jkyll and Hydes I like good food and great atmosphere Mars BAD food paying just for the atmosphere

I've been to both of them. Both are very expensive. Be prepared to bring either a lot of cash or your credit card. I enjoyed the experience as far as entertainment wise. I went to Mars2112 about three years ago and was not thrilled about their food, especially for the price. That may have all changed. I've been to Jekyll and Hyde several times. Last time I went they started charging an extra entertainment fee. Food was good. They also don't give refills on soda. I'm sure your friends will have fun at both places.

tao is cool - its huge and trendy and decent food
butter is a sexy village spot
sushi samba is a cool place too
blue water grill is great seafood
carmines is family style

JMO Mars is fun and the food is ok but J&H is sooooo much more fun and interesting (i dont rember the food though) but I loved that so much more!!!! Both are great though and i think I favor J&H b/c it's one of my favorite books but there is so much more going on!!!

Il Cortile in Little Italy Joe's Shanghai in China Town Top of the Marriot Marquis -restaurant on the top floor and you can see the view. Rainbow Room restaurant-same viewing alot of mooolah!
