NWR: job

NWR: job

So, I've been a NYC teacher for 4 years now. I'm teaching at a new school this year and a new subject, and I despise it. Miserable. It's sad because I LOVED it my first 3 years. It was so bad that I considered (still am) going back to school to get a degree in the medical field.

A week or so ago, FH reminded me about how much I loved teaching math. (I teach English now). He found these NYC city called New Vision. They are still part of the NYCDOE, but they have 76 schools, and a lot of them are alternative high schools for 16-21 year olds. I would love to teach in a school like that.

So, I applied and I just found out I got accepted!! Now these 76 schools will be in touch with me for interviews. Maybe I won't leave the teaching field anymore. Everyone has a bad year right?

Thanks! I don't know. I'm going to see how the schools are and check into it more, but I'm hopeful about this.

The career change is still an option though.
