NWR: Job background checks

if you work in HR or know more about how the process works, I'd love the information! I went on two interviews for a position within a different division of my company. The second interview whidh was face-to-face with the hiring manager was last Tuesday. It went really well, and two hours after I sent him a thank you email, HR (HR is based in Wisconsin) notified me that I made it through the next part of the recruitment process and would be undergoing a background check. This would be a standard check, and I read that they generally take 24-48 hours. Last week came and went, and I haven't heard anything. When should I call?
