So as most of you know I was forced to transfer to a new position, or be laid off. I accepted this and was really excitied about the new position.
I am supposed to start on Mon, but found out today that they had to offer the position to someone else with more seniority (union crap). So now I have to take a position with 7 hours less a week, which will be a large amount of money to lose every month. The position is working in the adolescent psych clinic, something I have no expereince doing.
I'm so bummed. I don't mind being exposed to a new population, but the pay cut is awful!! Supposedly my union rep istrying to work something out about this.
Sometimes it feels like just when everything starts working out, something else happens that brings you down

Aw Lori, I am sorry this is happening...Hopefully your union can work something out with the loss of income, maybe a small raise to keep your salary the same or even offer you the 7 hours...

I hope they can work something out...if not I'll have to find a part time job, which will hopefully be easy...

Oooh...I am sooo sorry to hear that.
On a positive note...you will be exposed to something new and it will challenge you. I hope you LOVE your new position so it will make up for the income loss. Never easy....
