DH is in the market for a new job and is waiting for a call back from a company in the city to get an interview next week (hopefully).
I was the queen at writing out questions for the interviewer, but I'm drawing a blank.
The company has a website that lists all the benefits, how long until they take effect, what companies they're with, etc. So that's taken care of. Below is as much as I could come up with, do you have any other suggestions on things you would want to know about a company?
Who would I be reporting to?
Is this a new position? If not, are there other employees who have the same responsibilities?
If yes, is there a plan for further employee expansion?
Is there a formal job description in place?
Is there a performance review policy for new employees?
Are raise reviews annual?
Is there a company policy on maximum raise percentage or is it dependant on budget?
THANKS!!

Re: NWR: Job Interview questions?
I would recommend that those questions be phrased in a more open-ended way (so that they are not yes/no questions).
There are several benefits to this, including getting more information and building a good 'relationship'/repartee with the interviewer.

Re: NWR: Job Interview questions?
What are the daily responsibilites in this position?
What are you looking for in a candidate for this role?
Will there be training and development? If so, approximately how long will that take?
How quickly are you looking to fill the position?

Opportunities for continuing education (like CPE classes - I am an accoutant sorry)
How would you describe the culture here.
Can you compare your experiences here to the position you previously held.
Will I have staff reporting to me, if so, how many?

I always ask what happened to the previous person that held the position.

Re: NWR: Job Interview questions?
not sure what kind of industry he is in - but if it is the kind where there is traditionally a second interview, then any questions about money, benefits, incentives are left for the second interview NOT the first. of course, if they indicate that this is to be discussed at the first interview, then he can follow. but leave the money talk for post-first-interview discussions with the employer.

I was just going to type just about all of the above! Great minds think alike!
