Re: NWR -Job poll
Hmm tough one, I think at this point I would want to be closer to home. Is everything with your job good?

I think it depends on how much you 'hate' job 1...I am spoiled now with my commute and teh hours aren't terrible, I know if I ever left it would be culture shock....but if it is torture, it may eb worth it..sorry if I am no help !

Re: NWR -Job poll
I chose Job #2 - I absolutely hate my job and would take my old one back in a heart beat even though I made a lot less $$$ and worked longer hours. Of course closer to home, not in the city, and shorter hours would be ideal, but your happiness is more important! HTH.

Re: NWR -Job poll
I went from working in the city for a very organized structure company
to working for a smaller, newly public company- with a boss who changes his mind all the time and can't make a decesion
but it's 20 mins from my house and I work 9 to 5pm- with a hour lunch
I haven't started looking yet- I have been waiting- but I think I need a change- but not for another LI company- back to the city

Beth,
I agree...I mean I'd wait until you're back from your hm & settled down & then you should look in the city for something you enjoy. It may be a longer commute, but its worth your sanity & the pay will probably be better too. Good luck!
9 days..........wow!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: NWR -Job poll
I would go with job #2 if it makes you happy. I worked where I was miserible for over a year. You don't realize how much it takes it's toll on you emotionally and physically when you don't like your job. My new job (just started last week) has longer hours, but I really enjoy what I do here, so the day goes by so much faster than it ever had before. And I can tell I'm mentally in a better state of mind now. I'm happy.
