NWR- Job question-Real Estate

Is anyone here a lisences real estate agent? If you are did you get your license before you found a position? or did you get your license through a real estate company? How did you get your sponser?

Sorry for so many questions but my very good friend is in desperate need of a job and wants to become an agent, and I don't know any agents personally. I thougth that maybe some LIW support could help.

Thanks sooooo much in advance! xoxo!

Ok you found the right person This is my job I license agents for a real estate company.

You have to take the course and test first. You do not need to be associated with a company to take the exam. After you pass you can then go to any RE company and see if they are hiring. Plus tell your friend that real estate is a commission based job and that you will not recieve hourly pay like a normal job. Also, you need to invest a lot of money just to start up. Being a real estate agent is like starting your own business. I can tell you that at my company a brand new agent must pay the following : $507 to LIBOR/MLS, $500 for yearly insurance, $200 for company training and $50 for the applicaiton to be licensed in NYS.
