So i recently quit/got laid off from my job. (i was looking to leave and then they laid me off first). Since then i've interviewed at two places. The job i WANT is taking their sweet a$$ time..........THREE weeks ago i had a 40 minute phone interview with them....then the following week i had one 1.5 hour interview followed by a 2.5 hour interview. everyone loved me an i was expecting an offer. BUT NO. this week they want writing samples and THREE REFERENCES. jesus. so i sent them the sample and the one reference that i got....the other two references i'm still waiting on.
the worst part is the OTHER job interviewed me once and pretty much gave me the job on the spot...but i dont like the type of work i'll be doing there as much as the other place.
i hate this waiting game. why is this taking so long. are they gonna want my blood sample next?!?!
ugh.. thanks for listening.
OH. and of course i cant do anymore wedding planning until i have an income again. :/

sorry to hear that you are going through this. hopefully things will start to look up soon. IMO you should wait until you get the position you really want. i was stuck at a job i didn't like for 4 years. it was a horrible experience.

i totally hear you, the whole job interviewing experience is so stressful and drawn out. Did the other company give you an offer and a timeframe which you would need to respond?

no they were pretty laid back about the whole thing which is nice.
but its been almost 3 weeks since i first interviewed with this other company. and they dont give me a time frame of when THEY will respond. i think its such a rediculous way of doing things.

I hate the waiting game. That happened to FH and he was stressed for a month about if he was going to get the job or not.

That scks...Im sorry to hear that!! When I was looking for ajob, I had a job that kept making me wait, made me feel like I got the job, then gave it to someone else
