Does anyone know how a dermatologist usually treats acne scars? Im making an appointment tomorrow but I was just curious as to what his solutions might be. I dont have a severe case but it is definitly noticable, especially on my cheeks. TIA!

I thought my comment posted but I have the exact same problem and I hate covering it up with makeup. I went to one dermatologist who told me there is no way to get rid of acne scars.
I hope you have better luck with your doctor. I hope they give you a better response.

Nooooooooo! I've been trying this at-home microdermabrasion stuff but that hasnt been working. There's gotta be SOMETHING they can do.

Well see what the doctor tells you when you see them. I haven't gone to another doctor for a second opinion. I think Im going to get a second opinion because I know its annoying to look at in the mirror.

Dr. Neil Bellet......wonderful!!!!!! I think he is great. He asks you what is wrong you tell him and he fixes it. You are in and out in no time and his wait at his Bay Shore office is never less more then 15 mins.

I think most do some type of acid peel to lessen the scars from acne. I do know that cold laser is also effective and gaining popularity!

They also sometimes fill it the scars with some kind of fatty substance, kind of like botox..sorry don't know too many details, but I've heard of it been done...you doctor should know if you bring it up.
