NWR: Kindle

Does any1 have one? my mom mentioned she was interested in getting one so i am thinking of getting it for her for xmas...do you need wifi to see your books? is the average price of books cheaper for download v. an actual book, etc.?! TIA ladies!!!

You don't need wifi. I have the first kindle that came out and my mom has one of the newer ones. Sometimes books on the kindle could be cheaper and sometimes they could be the same price as an actual book.

I love my kindle and so does my mom. I highly recommend it!

I think it probably is personal preference with that. Most of the time, the books are the same price but sometimes not.

Anyone use it for textbooks? I was thinking of getting one to read while at work, instead of lugging around a 1000page text lol

i absolutely love my kindle. it's super light and i've had it for 2 months and charged it only twice. i recommend getting the case with the backlight.
