Girls what knife block sets did you register for? The one I wanted is no longer available.

i got the wustof 14 piece gourmet set from macys....they had it on sale for 199.99 over the summer....I LOVE THEM!!! they are 1 step down from their clasic line which is top of the line for anyone whos not a professional chef

J Henkles - there are so many different types the guy in fortunoff helped us pick out the best ones.

i registered for wusthof knives. they didn't come in a block set. we are only asking for a chef's knife, a santoku knife, and a paring knife.

for the bread knife and steak knives we went with a cheaper brand.

I don't think I'm going to register for a block, I won't use all of the knives. I really like the look and feel of Global knives (for all you Food Network fans... they're the ones Giada uses on Everyday Italian). I want to hold a few other types before I make my final decision though.
