NWR: LA Fitness in Farmingdale

Hey girls, anyone here sign up for LA FITNESS in Farmingdale? I just did yesterday (yay for getting in shape) and dont know what to expect with that whole 'set up an appointment with a trainer' thing they do for you...is it a sales ploy? Should I just skip it?
Also what classes do you reccomend taking??
